Job Functions:
This job is highly specialized and suited for a physician with experience in developmental and intellectual disabilities. The role requires both clinical expertise and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including families, Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) staff, and external healthcare entities. It also demands strong communication skills, and an ability to multitask effectively.  The primary responsibilities include providing medical expertise to RCOC staff and to the Orange County community to ensure that the healthcare needs of RCOC persons served are met and acting as a medical resource to RCOC staff to ensure that eligibility determination for RCOC services is implemented in accordance with the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.

We have three medical offices conveniently located in Santa Ana and Anaheim, California. South Coast Pediatrics provides preventive medicine, sick visit and urgent care services seven days a week. We’re affiliated with over 10 health plans and serve more than 20,000 patients. Position:
We are looking for a pediatrician to join our growing team in Santa Ana and Anaheim, California. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for serving underserved populations, with a strong belief in providing high quality evidence-based medicine, in a manner that treats all patient families with respect and dignity. The candidate must be patient and caring and able to foster long term trust relationships with our patients, parents, and team members.

Schedule:
Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with clinic call/hospital call/hospital rounds shared among the physicians.

Locations:
Physicians may rotate through multiple locations in Santa Ana and Anaheim

Certifications:

• Ability to comfortably speak medical Spanish
• Valid CA State Medical License, in good standing
• DEA
• NPI
• NALS Certification
• AAP Board Certification or eligible, preferred

2. The Pediatrician’s information will then be added to the list of open candidates.
3. Pediatricians will remain on the available list for 1 year from the date registered, or until the Chapter is notified that he/she has found a position.
4. Pediatricians may check the Chapter’s website for any updates to our available practice opportunity list.
5. Pediatricians are asked to notify the Chapter office when they accept an offer of employment.
